Remember presentation should be 7 minutes in length to allow for 3 minutes of Q and A The Speech Except for the attention getter and conclusion, include the following information in any order that you desire: · Attention getter — something that relates to your project and draws the attention of the audience immediately. It should be very brief (30 – 60 secs)
Tell a story, cite a poem, ask a question, play a song on the instrument you just learned, show a skill, etc · Introduce yourself and your project · Discuss how/why you chose your topic · Explain your research and how it helped you · Discuss the process you went through to create the final product · Show the final product itself or pictures of it (have copies of your brochures, picture/Imovie of you teaching class, volunteering etc.) · Demonstrate (if appropriate) – play your guitar, show a learned technique, etc · Explain what you learned from the process · Conclusion · Call to action · MLA Format Citations Another way to look at your presentation · Title slide-attention getter · Motivation/rationale slide · Definitions · Major Point/s · Major Point/s · Major Point/s · Major Point/s · Infographic/30 sec video can go where most effective · Conclusion/s · Call to Action · MLA Citations |
